That sea apple is cool looking, don't know if I would put one in my tank knowing that it could wipe everything out though, but good luck with it.

Yeah. I have the drip going right now. I will do 25ppm per day until I hit 460. That is my target.

I have kalk but was too lazy to figure out how to dose it. When I was at the LFS I picked up the Seachem Reef Advantage Calcium because I knew it was in the 3reef calculator. I know, pretty lame. I have the background to figure out the dosing......I just didn't want to. So I will save it for a future Ca reactor....I am going to try a DIY.

Ive seen a few poeple build DIY reactors for all types of media, they say its really not all that hard if your the least bit handy, and incredibly cheap too.

Yeah, there is a thread I just read not too long ago where a dude did it for $35. I would just have to find a place to do precision cutting of acrylic and that's it. A little Weld-On, some drill bits and a few odds and ends and I would be in business. I am into the McGyver thing (not the show.....the concept). A lot of the equipment we use can me made right at home.

it's not possible to do a real calc reactor that cheap, a good co2 regulator is $100 even on the cheap side

I think when all is said in done I got into mine for around $500 but it can handle up to a 300g tank and I got a ph controller also
