    dKH: 10
    Ca: 430
    Temp: 75

Added 2 teaspoonsful RB and will retest tonight both dKH and Ca. Then add try to get a little closer to the elusive 460 mark. I actually turned on my heater. It was off. Finally got cold enough that I need it. 78 will be my goal.

Don't know. I am wondering about the accuracy of my API test kit. I haven't tested for about a week. I don't think so. But the inhabitants are used to it. I am going to order up a Salfert kit this Friday (Payday)

    Testing

So before I go to bed for the night, the final round of testing for the day is in. I did a Ca drip over two hours (9 tsp. of RAC in 2 qts of RO water). I seem have a half gallon of evaporation daily.

    Temp: 80
    dKH: 12
    Ca: 460
    Mg: 1320

Everything looks good. My Mg needs to come up to about 1400 before I will be satisfied and I will attempt to keep everything at these levels.

Well, if you go by the respective companies track record, your probably better off with what you have now ;)

    Testing

Wow. This is turning out to be an everyday thing. So. I added two tsp of RB and did it too fast. My frogspawn looked like it wanted to puke up something. I won't titrate that fast again. If you could call it titration. I did some testing, then started a Mg drip. My goal tonight is to raise it to 1400ppm (from 1320). I also added the rest of the Ca drip water to the tank for good measure.

    Temp: 82
    pH 8.2
    dKH: 11
    Ca: Start--460, End--475
    Mg: Start--1320, End--1410
    PO4: Trace
    NH4: < 0.25
    NO3: ~20

I added one-half capful Phosphat-E to get rid of the trace.

So I am going to stop the drip for the rest of the night and resume a little in the morning while I get ready for work.

On the calculator portion of this forum it states to only add 1/3 to 1/2 and retest. Good thing I followed directions. I was only one-third the way through my drip and my levels were just where I wanted them. So tomorrow night, I start the fuge. Proper levels are aquired. I just need to maintain now.
