    Happy Sixth Month!!!!!

Well. This is month six today. Everything is progressing nicely. I am truly happy with the outcome. Things are going much better than my first attempt at this hobby all of fourteen years ago.

So tonight, I fiddle with the dKH (which is dripping right now), then the Ca (if need be.....but yesterday's 475ppm reading pretty much will let me leave it alone tonight), then the Mg drip (if needed). I will test after I get my dKH to 12 and see what I need to do.

Salfert has had a few recalls in the past due to quality control/inaccurate test kits. Its supposed to be all good now though. I was just teasing you a bit.

COOL!!!! Yeah.....someone passed that to me. Works great doesn't it? I couldn't believe it. Clear water at the end.

Mine was still a little murky, but thats because I left about 10 gallons of water in with the sand during the move. But I used the wrap until I could lay my rock, then just poured the water on the rock. The water was clear in literally 10 minutes after getting everything running. The wrap definitely works! K+ on that one!

    Testing

Testing is as follows after bringing my dKH from 10 to 12.4.

    Temp: 82
    dKH: Start--10, End--12.4 (Target = 12)
Ca: 460 (Did not adjust) (Target = 460)
    Mg: Start--1350, End--1350 (Target = 1500)
    PO4: < 0.1

Added one-half capful Phosphat-E to tank. Dosing carefully as I have no card to compare. I have to go from memory and previous results coupled with past dosing of Phosphat-E. I do not want to overdo it.

The Mg did not rise a bit. I think I forgot to shake my container from last night. I will retest tomorrow AM over a Mocha and redo the drip if needed.

    Time for bed.

Yes it is.....I don't have a chiller though. I need to mod the canopy to accept fans. The corals and fish are acclimated to it though because my temp rarely drops below 80. 80 to 82 is the norm. I would like 77 to 78 optimally.

I tested the Mg this morning and it came out to 1400. So the drip worked somewhat. I will resume the drip now and test in a few hours.
