Looking good dude. Do you do anything for surface agitation? Just looking at your PH placement.

The return is pointed up and yesterday I repositioned one of the K-3s to take care of the left side. It's moving pretty good now. Once I get my other two K-3s, things will really start moving......That is next on the list. I need at least two more PHs in there.

Well, I have finished the fuge and plumbing underneath. I now have a 20g sump with an offset fuge. The fuge has a one inch Mud base. If anyone has any input on this inpartucular, please chime in. I am actually in the midst of researching mud depth. I just happened to have one jar of mud. I was planning on using LS as well.....and I will in the future, but was told that it will increase my nitrates. And that is the problem I am having right now. So until the nitrates are brought down to 10 or so, I am leaving as is, without sand.

So from reefcleaners.org, I am procuring caulerpa prolifera, chaeto, some mixed gracilaria and euchema, ulva mixed in with the chaeto and 10 or so mangroves...along with a Sea Fan for the DT. That should take care of that. I will shove as much of this into the 12x12 fuge as I can.

Also, the second CPR overflow is ready to go online; I am just waiting for two aqua lifters. I have been having problems with the AC50 I have been using for my siphon assist, so I am going to solve the problem once and for all.

I am getting another Rio 2100+ to use as the second return.....I have had pretty good luck with the brand, so I am sticking with it. I wanted a Mag7, but didn't want to spend the extra fifty bucks. Now that I have said that.......Oh, that's right, I don't believe in jinxes.

Sump before I started to work on it. The filter sock moved to the sump, under the other drain. Sump to go in far half.

Left side of plumbing. Pretty basic. It runs left, back and up to the other CPR. The main drain is behind the ETSS tower.

The right side of the plumbing. Again, self explanatory.

I put the mud in without draining the water. I waited. The water stayed muddy. Mistake. Should have siphoned it out first. So I scooped it out two cups at a time, then used the saran wrap trick to get clean water in there.

Trust me, this water was cleaner. Doesn't look like it, but it was. It is clear now....I started flow not too long after this shot. It is a functioning unit, now waiting for plant life, which is coming in Tuesday.

So that was this weekend's project. Once again, I have achieved stud status. In my own mind at least.

    Peace.......John.
