I pretty much ignored mine for 6 weeks cause I was to busy with other crap and all I had was a small outbreak of LHA and with a couple weeks of attention I've got it nearly 100% cleared up now
My biggest issue was my bulbs went bad on me, now I gotta work on the nano cause 1/2 the lights on it just failed today

If it ain't one thing it's another. My nano lights went kaput here recently also. I am looking for another brand of light that goes over a 10g. I really do not want to do Nova Extreme again. I thought the workmanship was a bit shoddy.

I'm looking at a 150w MH setup, the nano has been cured long enough I think it'd be a freaking awesome clam tank with enough light

It is coming with 2x54W UVL Actinic White, 4x54W UVL Superactinics and 2x54W UVL 75/25 (14000K), which is a little whiter than I was planning on doing originally, but a good start. I may substitute one of the actinic whites with an ATI Pro Color T5 (does the reds in the 650 to 720 nm range)----that's what they advertise. I may sub the other with a 75/25 and compare the coloration there. I like a bluer tank. We'll see.

the 75/25 in mine look whiter than the 50/50 for some reason, maybe just because they appear brighter

    Testing and Notes

The fuge has lost some macros. I am left with some grape and fern caulpera and cheato. Neither are going. If anything, they are dwindling....slowly. Will put in another order for G.C. and Cheato.

    Temp: 75
    SG: 1.026
    pH: 8.4
    NH4: 0
    NO2: 0
    NO3: 40
    Ca: 470
    Mg: 1500
    dKH: 9.0
    PO4: 0.2

I have a dead red coris wrasse in the sandbed somewhere. As long as the NO3 continues to drop (slowly), I will not worry about it. I slowed the transit time through the denitrator about two weeks ago and am starting to see results. I may slow it a bit more.

Bringing the dKH to 12 tonight with slow bicarb drip.

Everything looking pretty good. Water from RO machine at store measured zero on the TDS meter. Procured 25 gallons.
