    Complete Testing

    OK.....just got done with my testing. Here are the numbers:

    i=Increase. d=Decrease. Nothing=Static NT=Not Tested last time
    bold=must correct soon

    Temp: 80
    pH: 8.2
    SG: 1.025
    NH4: 0.5 (i)
    NO2: 0
    NO3: 10 (d)
    PO4: 0.25 (d)
    Combined Iodide/Iodine: 0 (nt)
    Iodate: >0.1 (nt)
    Ca: 420 (d)
    Mg: 1380 (d)
    dKH: 9.1 (d)

    Notes:

    NH4 is presumably high because I am still cycling from the move. I have not seen my wrasse in 16 hours. I am hoping he is not dead. That would explain the spike from 0.25 last week.

    PO4 is down from 0.8 last week. Evidently, the stuff I used worked well. Tonight I am going to dose again at a decreased amount to handle the rest of the phophates.

    Iodate: Honestly, I have no idea what to do with this or even what it means. So if anyone knows, clue me in please.

    Mg: Too low for me. I want it at 1450. I am going to adjust dKH back to 12 and then readjust Mg based on further testing.

    dKH: Increasing to 12. Adjusting Mg and Ca afterwards.

    Missing: Coris the Wrasse

    Looked everywhere for my new coris wrasse. Moved some rock around. Rearranged a bit. Nothing. It is gone. Not in any of the filters. Not in the sump. Not on the floor. Not on top of the lights. Not in my pocket. Not in any hat I can pull him out of. I am confused:confused:.......and kinda bummed. It was purrrrrdy. It had to have jumped. Now I just have to figure out where.

    Sorry :-(

    Maybe it's just harder to find things in the bigger tank? Lurking from shadow to shadow? :-/

    Possibly. It wouldn't be the first time this has happened. I think I might call him shadow. My little girl named him rainbow.

    LMAO. Rainbow -> Shadow. Love it! What a change in names. I imagine if he is around to get the name change, that will actually be really great news!!! Good luck!

    I stand by the comment that all Wrasses are the greatest at hide and seek in the world, he's probably in there somewhere you just cant find him, I think even Omard was saying he only sees his for a couple of hours a day then it disappears, I think their a burrowing wrasse though so he'd be in the sand bed

    Ya know.......I was commenting on that to my wife this evening. That maybe he burrowed. But I was not sure. Cool. That would explain much. Because he is not in the rocks. When he gets hungry, then I will see him.

    Denitrator

    Last week, my nitrates were 25. Pretty good for my tank. It rarely gets lower than that. I started up Tangster's denitrator last week. Now my nitrates are down to 10. A record for me. Two things surprised me about this.

    1.) 10
    2.) The denitrator seems to be working already. I was under the assumption that it took a month or two to cure. Is it possible to see some success this early? Hmmmmmmm.
