My LFS (that's his son's tank in the picture who works there as well) is pushing these leds. I have had 4 Sol Blue's on backorder for nearly 2 months now. I'm sick of waiting, and can save 400 bucks and have more coverage. But, and this is a big but, there is no information available on these besides seeing first hand his 330 and what happens over the next couple weeks. (not that that's enough time to know anything)

    Anyone know anything about them?

I dont know anything about those lights at all. But i was just curious, where did you order your lights from? I have an AI SOL on back order too, granted its only been 2 weeks of waiting and im antsy. I can only imagine how you feel.

If I were you I would hold out for the AI's however I know nothing about the company or the hardware they use, I would def do some more research before you make your decision

I ordered them through my LFS, I try to get everything local. But they aren't an official AI vendor, so he ordered it through another distributor. I'm just getting impatient. I'll probably through a 4 bulb t5 over it and then keep it for a future frag tank or something.

I ordered them on my birthday may 15. I have already spent to much money to not get them. I was thinking about it last night, I already ordered $100 worth of optics, $125 in mounting hardware and $150 on the apex module and AI cord.

I see, I was just curious because the vendor i ordered from (aqua cave) is getting their shipment of lights from AI this coming week sometime. Hopefully that means mine will be at my door friday or saturday. it does sound like you have quite a bit already invested in these lights, im sure in the long it will have been worth the wait.

This hobby is won with patience! At least by the time I add corals all the new tank swings will be well out of the way! I also have had plenty of time to make minor adjustments with the plumbing... So, that's good!!

You will probably get your's before I get mine! What size tank, how many fixtures, and how high AWL are you planning to mount them?

My tank is a 27 gallon cube 20x18x20. One fixture ( SOL Blue model) , havent through about the AWL mounting all that much yet but probably a foot? i dont know for sure yet. I got the grip lock hanging kit coming with it so i can adjust it at anytime.

With that size, I would keep the standard optics and mount between 10-12" Above the water line to the bottom of the unit. That's going to look great!
