Well i went over to my neigbors house, who is 14 yrs old and has a 10 gal freshie. Her 10 yr old sister breeds guppies and has about 20 now........pretty cool. But when we saw her sisters tank (the 14 yr old) i saw that she has that thing packed with fish. A 7" Goldfish, 2X4" goldfish, and 3-4 3" goldfish. I said, "Brianna, i dont mean to be an ass, but thats one fish is WAY to big." And then, this is funny part, i was told "your no fish expert, you know nothing about fish!, who cares if you have saltwater fish! Goldfish are different!" i shrugged and walked downstairs, then was told "If you say one more tim that my tank has too many fish! I ll stab you in the face!", lol....... and then i told myself and her sister that when they are dead/dying, dont count on calling me over and asking whats wrong and using all my meds, testkits, spare tanks, and whatnot...........

    The ignorance of people.

Also, i was just typing this thread and i heard a rustling noise, sounded like paper getting moved around. I knew there was a piece of paper that fell behind my desk, but figured i must have moved it somehow. I hear it again, and i pull the paper out, and then ZOOM! A mouse runs out! AGGGHHHH! now i have to catch it! Damn winter mice......

i was always under the impression that cold and tropical freash fish could be crammed into a tank - after all lfs do it too.
But wow a 7" goldfish - that does seem rather large, can the fish swim at all?

it swims for about 1 second, turns around, and attempts not to hit the others as it attempts to turn :( and trust me, that tank is WAY overcrowded.
