    Yes, no matter how many na sayers there are saying that it CAN NOT be done, go look at my other thread for my 180 gallon tank with a 65 gallon sump and 100 gallon fuge which is also all tap water.


    Now, it really depends on where you live and ur TDS, if my TDS was 400 then no i would not do it

    Agreed!! Rochester has pretty clean water...surprisingly. I still use RO/DI but many have gotten away with using tap!

    Yup, i mean should i use ro, sure but i dont feel the need to not when i have no problems with tap!

    you can get a meter pretty cheap, check your LFS they should have some for sale!

    ai8 ill see if they have any tomorrow.. Im still getting my RO/DI unit, i guess it should be better than tap. "aqua marines", something like that.... is that good brand..?

    dont know to much about RO units as i havent ever owned one to be honest

    Some RO/DI units come with a free TDS meter. I got min from airwaterice.com and it came with one.
    I think they run like $25 if you get one otherwise.
