Having some problems with cyano... Which would be the better way to go (phos reactor or liquid phos remover) as far as pracicality in the sense of which cost more over long time use (more liquid versus more media for reactor) and which does a better job. Also, maybe some personal experiences and pros and cons...Thanks everyone. LONG LIVE 3REEF!

I have tried liquid Phosphate remover once (Azoo brand) my opinion was that it is less effective and less efficient than a good GFO media for reducing phosphates
Im not saying its the same in all cases, as I have not tried any others

if you are running a reef tank , then I would suggest GFO media in a reactor as your best option
if you are running a FOWLR tank, then you could consider the aluminum based alternative such as Seachems Phosguard ( run in a reactor or in a mesh bag on HOB or cannister)

some use the aluminum based product in reef set ups with no issues, but others have reported corals reacting adversely to the media ( and as the same issues are not reported when using sensible quantities of GFO, thats the way I choose to go)

Reactor. It works better than liquid because liquid just mixes in but the reactor is more effective by holding it in.
