Hey guys quick question. I have a cycling tank (60g deep blue rimless) and I am going through the diatom phase. I am saving up for a quality ro/di unit and a reactor but for now I am using seachem prime and tap water since the nearest LFS is 45 min away. I am trying to minimize the diatom problem and until I get a reactor I am going to use phos-zorb since Petsmart is my only option here and they do not carry chemi-pure. My question is can I place the bag of phos-zorb in my filter sock where my DT drains into my sump? It is the only area of "high flow" I can think of in my sump area. I was going to place the phos-zorb bag actually at the bottom of the filter sock so the water splashes down into the sock and onto the phos-zorb. Any ideas? Thanks!
