I was thinking of buying 2 Phosban Reactors at DrF&M and putting phosban in one and seachem de-nitrate in the other. Both reactors would be in series running off a pump at low flow (approx 20gph). Anybody see any problems with this setup?

This is part of my plan to try to get ride of some GHA I've been noticing in my tank. I've started some other stuff mentioned throughout this forum already as part of the big plan to get rid of this stuff......

I don't see any problems with that at all, and that should definitely help out your fight against algae. Post pictures for us.

That is what I do as well. Bulk Reef Supply has a dual series reactor perfect for two medias like that. You might price compare. I got mine from BRS and really like it.

So I was looking at either getting DrF&S PhosPure or Phosban for the phosphate reactor (I've read lots of threads suggesting Rowaphos but it's more than I want to spend). Per the description, PhosPure is "Ferric Hydroxide" whereas Phosban is "Ferric Oxide Hydroxide". Is there a difference between the two? Phosban costs almost double the price of PhosPure.

I switched from phosban to Pura-Phoslock PURA PhosLock Both are just ferric oxide. I like this stuff better, cause it has bigger granules, and I can open up the reactor and run it a little faster. Phosban floats too easy IMO.
