If your phosphates are really over 10 don't add anything else yet until this is under control. That high of phosphates can kill or harm hard corals. First, are you using RO/DI water? or tap water? Other source? Second, you can start by running ferric oxide in either your filter or you can get a separate reactor for it. That will help to get the phosphates down, but in order to keep them that way, you need to find the source of the problem. How much and how often do you feed too?

Do you defrost the food in ro water and then drain before adding tank water? The frozen food is usually coated in a phosphate based preservative. Soaking the food and draining should help remove the preservative.

All good advice. I would add. .. check the phosphate of your RO water and TDS.. just to make sure filters are doing their job.
If it's good water I would do a series of large water changes and cut back feeding.

Also just to clarify... is this new tank diatoms(brown algae) or more like green hair algae.. A pic would be great.
Diatoms will just go away by themselves but either way get on top of the PO4.
