Phosphate Media In Canister Filter

    Do you think I could buy a media bag and then put Phosban in it or something like that and put it in my canister filter. I have an aquatop canister filter that does 211 gph. I don't really have any money at all being a teenager to buy a reactor or anything like that. I just have some extra space next to my carbon in my filter. Please Help!

    I put Phosguard in a media bag in my canister filter (Rena Filstar 2) and its 300ghp. It works good for me so if you have room in your canister I would give it a try. Just remember to do maintenance cleaning on your canister on a regular basis so it does not build up nitrates.

    By maintenance what do you mean? Just rinsing out the pads?
