    Hi,

Should I use my Phosphate reactor during the cycling of my 120 gals reef tank?

    Thanks

I think its a good idea, especially if you have live rock and are already running the lights

You can but it is not necessary yet. If this was a used tank I would be running some Seachem. CupriSorb to soak up any copper that may have been used in the tank for disease treatment.

My tank is new and will be cycling with 80lbs of LR with light off and skimmer off.

sounds good to me. wouldnt be too worried about the phosphate unless you used tap water.

I used RO water. Should I wait until nitrite goes to zero and before the nitrate start going up to put on this reactor to avoid too much algae problem during the end of the cycling?
