I'm looking for a good phosphate test kit. I have a salifert now. I love all of my other Salifert test. But It has showed zero since I got it. I think I should have seen something on it other than 0. I would like to get an instrument type but I would rather not spend 200 dollars on some of the ones I've seen. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

My Salifert Kit always shows me at 0 as well. I even did the double up thing to increase the results and came up with 0. I wonder if there was a bad batch.

go for the hanna checker. I have the phosphorous for ultra low resolution and have no complaints.

Just my +1 on dandk's comments. phosphate is like the macro phosphate checker and the phosphorus is for the ultra low nutrient systems out there (less than 0.01 phosphates).

    Cheers

+1 also on the Hanna checker. it makes life SO much easier when it gives you a digital read out. FYI when you buy it the initial reagent pack it comes with is only good for 10 tests when other kits usually provide around 50 so that might be a down side to some. Just buy a reagent pack if you buy it and thatll get you up to 60 tests, more then enough to last you a year or so.

Thanks for the replies. I found one at BRS that is 48 dollars. Is that the one you are referring to?
