    hi my prizm skimmer as been running 5 days and this what is in the cup as you can see there is some dirty water at the bottom . is this ight or should there be more muck. thanks skim.JPG

    Depends on bio load and how much you feed etc... Mine varies... Skim on brother....

    What exactly is your bioload ? How old is your tank ? Fts please. It makes a difference if you have anything in tank or not.

    my tank as been running for about 8 months its 240 liter i have 8 fish i feed them one time a day it as 25kg of live rock and live sand

    I also have that skimmer , Mine has an adjustable air valve on it that I don't see with yours. Also if you don't have it turned up enough it will not skim as well. There is alot of micro bubbles at first , but it goes away after it " breaks in " . Good luck I hope this helps.

    thanks smittycoco i have tured the flow up abit i have got sone micro bubbles but if thay go after it breaks in i wont worry about them.

    About 10 minutes worth on my skimmer when busy.

    Do have periods that I get very little. - usually sign skimmer needs cleaning...

    Then again, I have a very heavy bioload.
