How lond does it take for a Picasso Trigger to reach full length? I was wondering if I could get a small one (between 1-3") for my 55g and upgrade later. I Most likely will not upgrade my 55g until after college.

I have had one since like October and it hasnt grown hardly at all and it eats everyday...either some shrimp, squid or fish....so unless it plans on taking a huge growth spurt soon, i would say they are pretty slow growers

I was wondering if I could get one for my 55g. Would it still be comfortable in that tank in say 4 yrs?

i really doubt it in 4 years..not sure tho...in 4 years i would think it would almost be if not be full grown...which would be right there are the 10-12" mark..

Thanks, Matt. I'm sorry I didn't see the fish board forum when I posted this thread.

OK I guess that's a "no-go" on this situation. Guess I'll be waiting untill I get out of college or upgrade again to get this fish.

If you really like the Humu Humu (picasso) why dont you buy a very small one, and you could always trade him in for a new small one if he out grows your tank..they are VERY inquistive fish and have quite the personality..my Humu & Bursa get excited when i come home from work...much like a dog, it cracks me up

Your aware of the angels tendancies to nip at corals? Coral Beauty not so much, but when I first started looking into the hobby I wanted an Eibli (Red Stripe) Angel. Then I was told that particular species is prone to nipping at corals which changed my mind. It's a shame, they are such a beautiful fish!
And it might not be wise to have 2 angels in a tank that small, could have some aggression issues.
