    Correct.

    And this is why I prefer latin: Melanurus Wrasse (Halichoeres melanurus) is also known as: Hoeven's Wrasse, Tail Spot Wrasse, Yellow-lined Wrasse, Orange-tipped Rainbowfish, Tailspot Wrasse, Pinstriped Wrasse.

    WT???????? my wrasse sleeps in the sandbed? well i have crushed coral....I was wondering why the moment i shut the lights off i see a big cloud of crushed coral and the wrasse is no where to be found..this morning i turn the lights out and see a fish head! yes his head only sticking upright out of the CC....i didnt have my camera so i took a pic with my cheapo phone i'll post it in a second

    Most wrasses sleep and hide under the sand. They require a 2-3 inch fine sand bed.

    I had no clue! lol...you think the crushed coral will hurt him? I don't have fine sand

    Yeah, CC isn't going to work with this guy. No offense, but this is why research prior to purchase is important. The CC will take its toll on his scales and eventually lead to an infection.

    However, there is a remedy. Get yourself a plastic container and put some fine aragonite in it, place it at the bottom of your tank. The wrasse will find it.

    Sidenote: not all genus of wrasses sleep in the sand, but wrasses of the genus Halichoeres do.
