So I am pretty picky when it comes to the tank that I will get, when I jump back into the hobby. I have been to all my LFS and I haven't seen one that i am particularly fond of except the Fluval Osaka 260 but it isn't very particle bc there is no place for a sump it just comes with a filter. And i haven't really heard anything good for a SW tank w/o a sump. Does anyone know where i can shop for a new tank other than a LFS.

If you don't mind getting a used tank try craiglist... if you want brand new I would get the tank and then build/buy a stand separate rather than getting an all in one setup (more expensive). You also need to decide what kind of tank you want. FOWLR/reef and what kind of livestock do you want? Another big role in the size is your budget. You need certain equipment to make a tank successful and that equipment is not cheap.

eh. I've searched Craigslist, and i don't think i would be able to make my own stand, i don't really have anywhere to work on something like that.

i have a reef tank with out a sump right now it can be done just have to error on the side of caution with dosing and limited on the equipment you buy. But you might check with your LFS. Some place like petsmart will have $1 a gallon sell and you could always drill one of those tanks its pretty easy.

Your LFS should be able to order you a tank through their distributor. If not, find another LFS within reasonable driving distance.

What basic size are you looking for and how much do you want to spend?
