Got the underside plumbing all together last night and did the top side plumbing. I took a bunch of photos but left the camera at home this morning, so I cannot show off my work. guess you will have to wait with baited breath to see my plumbing work. Im extremely please how the underside turned out. all neat and clean and will fit thru a 5x8" hole in the bottom of the stand.

The return from the sump has 4 outlets. on each end is a 1" seaswirl unit and in the middle are two 3/4" locklines with Hydor Flo's on them (the spinny thingys). they came with the system, so im gonna try and use them.

the closed loop returns have a split 3/4" lockline with one end being longer than the other. they are positioned so I can direct them pretty much any way I want to. I can tell there will not be many dead spots in the tank.

Hopefully tonight ill get the floor cut and at least the CL pump in so I can add water and leak test it.

ON a sour note, my chiller seems to have a refrigerant leak somewhere in the Evaporator housing. it held pressure for 36 hours then mysteriously started giving it up. Tonight im going to buy some Refrigerant sealant (AC Super Seal from Quest) at the auto parts store and give that a shot. hopefully the leak I have is small enough for this to work. I think it is accoring to what Ive heard. we shall see. Im lucky that the unit uses R134A refrigerant as that is what they sell everywhere. this type of leak sealant is a liquid form but forms a seal where it meets moisture (got lots of that). other than that it flows in liquid form and acts as a lubricator. It sorta coagulates like blood to seal the leak up. I hope that work. I really dont want to buy a new chiller.

OK. so the pipes in the front are the sump drain and return. they are 2". the other s are the closed loop. they are 1 1/5". I had to draw the arrows on them to make sure I got them right.

    TIPS:
    1. Make sure you use PLENTY OF THE BLUE GLUE.
    2. Cut the pipe a little long or measure from the little lip deep inside the elbows. Otherwise you will come up short.
    3. always get it fully mocked up before adding the glue
    4. Take your time.
    5. Put PLENTY OF BLUE GLUE on both pieces you are putting together.
    6. I used a Compound Miter saw to cut the pipe. I could be very fast and precise this way. that said, it makes a GIGANTIC mess on the front porch.
    7. GATE VALVES ARE MEGA EXPENSIVE.
    8. anything above 1" pipe is gonna cost you (unions and valves.)

    That enough knowledge for now.

TOnight, I did the underside of the house. Got the closed loop fully plumbed all the way to the pump. I got VERY lucky as I had about 8" of 1.5" pipe left over when done. Doing the underside also involved cutting the floor. that involved the floor decking, carpet pad, carpet, foam board and then the underside of the stand. I managed to hit a cross brace in the stand when cutting but the Milwaukee sawzall cut thru it like a hot knife.

Ill post those photos tomorrow as I need to finish the sump plumbing. Fortunately for me, its two pipes and one bend. Just have to knock some holes in the concrete block.

?? NO offense, but where did that come from? yes, I would love to have one of those. there is actually one at a Local dealer tank, but they are very delicate and I dont even have my plumbing wet yet. Now give me a year to make sure the tank is stable, and yes, I will get one of these.
