A Domino damsel would be worse IMO, a cardinal would be better due to their behavior to "hover" vs swim around a lot like clowns.

yea, I really dont care to do a damsel. we will just have to see how it ends up. dug a few pods out of my sump, a stomatella and a hermit crab.

Nice tank so far! I agree with 1.0 a clown or damsel would be too big. I'd personlly go with 2 yellow clown gobies (always in the water column at LFS) or a yellowstripe clingfish or a smithii blenny (not sure of any other common name). Any of the 3 fish would contrast nicely with the black sand.

yea I thought about the clown gobies but I had one once that nipped SPS severely so I am afraid if I put one in there, it will prevent me from putting a special acro in if I want.

My bad, I wasn't sure if you were gonna have SPS. What special acro do you have on mind? ;D

IDK. time will tell and we will see how the tank goes. I doubt it will be anything from my tank currently. the tank is pretty open but the rock peaks pretty high and im starting to wonder if zoas will grow up that close to the lights. I can pull the top off if I need to open it up. I already knocked the epoxy loose when I put it in my sump.

clowns gobies do eat sps, and 2 in this tank will fight to the death.
IMO a clingfish wouldn't be a good choice, due to it's feeding habits.
A smiths fang blenny would be nice, but IMO there's not enough length to the tank...

I appreciate the advice folks. I know we can all have varying opinions about how we stock our tanks and the logic behind them. I am still torn on how I wish to do this one as well.
NO matter what my choice will be, this will be a 1 fish tank. I plan to get a coral banded shrimp as well. Heck, it may end up just being a shrimp tank.
