any thoughts on how to make a small 3 gallon pico into a refugium for a biocube. Just looking for the simplest way to make this work. So do i just need two of the same gph pumps? One to take water from the DT to the fuge and then one to take water from the fuge back to the display?
I am kinda a newbie to refugiums but would like to try to make one out of a small pico!

if you could drill a hole towards the top of 3g tank on a sidewall, you can gravity feed it back to main tank. pico 3g would need to be raised slightly higher the Dt though..

cool but looks like, i will have to put the pico underneath the main tank, or to the side. cant really do above the other tanks? Would the scenario that i was talking about with the two pumps work????
    any one chime in, please/

you could do it with 2 small identical "adjustable pumps" because the pump pushing water up will have head loss. just have to dial it in, and hope those pumps dont ever fail.
    or water cleanup..

i know its scary to think that if one died that you would come home to an empty DT>

i know i was thinking of getting some pretty small pumps. Have you heard of u-tubes?
I know of a couple people have used these to get water from the DT to the refugium?

I use a utube with a overflow box. but a straight utube siphon, hope you dont get air bubbles in it. others will will chime in on this one..
