    can i just make some water get a cup of my sand And RR that i have in my tank already and add some base rock rubble l8r just to get started tonite ?its only a gallon or so

    My tank is 3 gal. I made up fresh SW. added base rock and sand. put mysis shrimp in to start the cycle (thanks Robman). added filter and light and hit the go button. it can be done pretty quickly.

    ok i will wait till i make a top and find a heater any suggestions . i just think with a heater and top i could minimize my cycle by not causing any die off and hopefully be adding frags in a couple of months
