Here is a few pics of my Coralife skimmer in action. Also check out my high tech Alumimium spacer I use to keep the skimmer upright. ;D

I am nothing but happy with this skimmer I run my water level fairy low in the skimmer to get dry foam. It forms into this brown clumpy horribly crap I am thrilled. This is the 125. I would suggest these skimmers without a doubt. The smallest one at like $89 dollars would be a reall killer in the SeaClone, Prizm class at under a hundred dollars.

    Looks great Covey.
Funny I just saw one of these in action at the LFS today. I was impressed, it was cranking just like yours and had black skimmate.

that is the worst skimmer that money can buy. i would suggest throwing it in the trash. you are better off making your own out of newspaper and cardboard.

For the money thats a pretty sweet deal. As long as its crankin out skimmate like that who needs a different one. What model is it Covey? So I can check them out by googling it. ;) Like that aluminum spacer....cool. I woulda used the Silver Bullet model myself, Or perhaps the old failthful standby the
" Colt 45 " brand of spacer....depending on how hard the job was setting it up.

I don't know about that !! It looks like it is putting out some nice skimmate. ;) I am guessing by your suggestion on the newspaper and cardboard that you are an engineer by trade, :-/ And just because it looks good on paper does not mean that it will work made out of it ;D ................ I (had) one and tried all kinds of things suggested on another website to make it work and all I got was once it ran the cup over on the carpet and a tank full of constant micro bubbles. In my opinion you shouldn't have to make all kinds of adjustrments and redesign it to get a good skimmer to work. This may be a knock off of one sold by an outfit called Pacific something or other.
