I'm just curious to see what everyones first choice was. So maybe this will help make up my mind. :)

Mine was a single headed frogspawn. I got it about 10 or 11 months ago. Since then it has grown (under PCs) to four heads. Very easy coral. I am still partial to frogspawn. I later bought a nine-head. Here is a pic of that one.....

I got, from a friend, some pulsing xenia pom pom, anthelia, GSP, two mushrooms, and a colt.

Let me tell you, stay away from the anthelia. Spreads like wild fire. Had to go through an epic adventure of cleaning the rock it was on and layering it with kalkpaste to kill it off. Then the small pieces that broke off in the tank, landed elsewhere, hidden from me. Until a few weeks later when I start finding blasted anthelia sprouts in several places. Again, m ore kalkpaste. It was a major pain. It is now completely under control, but I wish I wouldn't have got it in the first place. I took a small frag of it and glued it to my overflow cup... it has nowhere to go from this cup and i can easily remove the cup to trim it back. I only kept it at all because the wife loves it... apparently, it is "pretty". I advise to stay away from it.

The Xenia spreads quick too, but it is much easier to deal with.

The mushrooms and colt are winners. They don't spread so much as they grow. Both extremely easy to care for.

The GSP is spreading nicely, but beatiful. Highly recommend this one too as a starter. GSP = Green Star Polyp.

    Oh yeah, pics.

In my thread, I document everything. You can see growth and all that.

Unfortunately, many of our first coral died so you may not get many replies.
