here is my first coral ever, tank numbers came down after each rose and fell and the snails in the tank have been happily munching up algae for a week so I figured Id see how a coral does, Im gonna stick with mostly soft corals, the was sold to me as button polyps not sure if thats exactly what they are of not, also I dunno what it should have went for, I gave 38 for it and it seems to be doing great so far, there are 2 polyps that are seperate from the rest and have yellow mouths instead of being all green, also a few pods hitched a ride home on the rock, so hopefully they breed, nothing in the tank that would east them at this point...they had good color so to me 38 seemed reasonable for as close as the store is

Thats a good deal, $38. My Lfs only rarely has them and charges like $50 for only like 10-15 polyps, and they are ugly browns.

nice score I have a very similar colony and they spead like mad , the yellow mouths are just on the new polyps they will change to green.
So hopefully you will see more yellows in the future

yeah, I hope the spread, the thing about the yellow mouthed ones is that they wernt connected to the others at all, just two linked polyps, and they are as big and bigger then some of the green ones, I'll have to wait and see if they change, the same store also has alot of nice mushrooms

Nice Zoa's there bud! Good luck with them and if the conditions are perfect, they will split and grow throughout your tank! Very hardy things!! ;D

With the right lighting, you can turn those ugly browns into fluro greens.
