hey wilko try waiting about 4 days without feeding him, and then get a small chromis or damsel and put in there, and more than likely he will go for it, he might be used to the clown and thats why he wont mess with him, but if he gets hungry enough hell try different things,

We feed our guy and gal krill for the most part. Frozen krill. With the occassional snails to beat on.

Most species would love a 20 gallon. Something larger like a Peacock Mantis would be ok, but that's a tad on the small side for them. And then there's the whole "Peacocks break glass" thing people harp on. Personally, I consider that a myth. Yes, mantis are capable of breaking thin glass, but they aren't mindless smashers. They only fully attack something if they know for sure they can eat it.

So in short, yes, a most mantis species would love a 20 gal :)

Jwinn is right 20g is fine, for most, but if you get a peacock them I would get a smaller one that way by the time it's gets big it will be used to you cause if you get a large one and say you walk up to the tank and startle him then he might smack the glass, and a full size peacock can break a 20, but I've never heard of them breaking more than a 20. But my friend had a 6inch in 20g and it broke in the night, something must of spooked it

Go for it unless you got sps, I put scyther my 3" female peacock in my 75g reef, and she loves it, and she doesn't mess with none of my fish, she steals a hermit once I'n a while but other than that as long as you feed them regulary you should be ok
