    Things are going slower than I thought...paint on tank is 4 coats thought it would be 2, the new platform needed more prep to stain and needed 3 coats to be even

    Might not get the transfer done today...... :-(

    base rock pieces .... then sand.... then the rest of your live rock.

    1st pic is what the wife will see from her PC and the 3rd pic will be my view from where I sit at my PC ;D

    Ok so what if I added the sand and just made sure it was real thin where I know the rock will sit.
    Reason is I really want to move the rock, inverts and fish all in one or two steps

    I am getting tired LOL

    well.... are you moving over the sand also????

    i would just put down your foundation pieces first, then put sand around e so theres little chance they will move when you make your reef structure. if you do put sand down first you will have to make sure your foundation pieces wont move in the future. sand will move causing a shift in the rock. Potentially rocks falling and scratching your glass more extreme cases would be breaking glass.
