    You are so right John, it's asexual when an animal reprodeces on it's own and hermaphroditic when the indiduals change sex from male to female. Thanks for catching my misspeak!

    Nearly right mate :)

    Asexual means not forming part of a cycle which involves fertilization eg an anemone splitting or a plant grown from a cutting

    Hermaphroditic means having both male and female reproductive organs

    Sequential Hermaphrodites are animals that change sex. Protandrous = male to female. Protogynous = female to male.

    Not that it matters really as we all knew what you meant :)

    Red Skunk Cleaner Shrimp change sex every month when they molt as a pair.
