    lol green has the slowest growth. I had a piece go from 2 x 6 inches to a foot across in about 4 months. The stuff grows like mad. Now the purple rim green monti is a bit of a slow grower. If it is an ora coral give it time to make it's adjustments, keep nitrates down and don't try to over light it.

    I will agree with you there i have a green cap in my tank I think is actualy a branching monti it will only grow up not out. lol as for my purple rim it grows out like there is no tomorrow it has grown 1.5 inches out since I bought him. that is the big circle one in my photos

    that is funny. Every tank is different dude. My staghorns are outpacing my digitatas too which is really crazy. There are so many factors involved that it would take forever to get into them. i think one of my problems tho is photoinhibition. don't know if you are familiar with the term but I think I my lights are a little to much for the montis but my acros love it. It's a crazy hobby.
