There is a Pink tube anemone of a good size at the local fish store for only 45 dollars it is so beautiful and its size is pretty good. I asked them to hold it for me for a few days until I could gather enough info on them. I am a somewhat newer aquarist and I have been dealing with saltwater for a year now. I have a 120 gallon saltwater tank with a nova extreme pro a 4bulb system 2 10k white and 2blue actinic 48''. I am also running a 220 gallon super skimmer which by the way works so awesome. My tank runs at about a good 75 degrees right in the middle, my specific gravity is at 1.0225, my PH is 8.2 and calcium levels are at 450ppm and the other aspects are perfect. Basically what I am asking is can someone give me some info on the species like is it photosynthetic? Can it be in a 120 gallon tank with a decent size rose anemone somewhat near by in the tank? will it eat my clownfish and other species. I would love to know asap because they will only hold it for so long. Also I heard something about them shedding there tentacles into the water column will this harm my coral and fish? And if I do put it into my tank will my fish be retarded and go towards it? Also what type of current lighting and flow does it need.

Well you can google and get lots of info on these, they are very pretty, however people often refer to them as the reaper of slow moving fish such as dragonets.

They do not rely on light, but must be fed at least weekly. It will eat any fish that touches it in a heart beat, and they pack a powerful sting.
