pipe level for overflow

    as tall as you want it!!! Not really a specific height. Just lower that your internal overflow height so it will drain.

    I made mine as high as possible while still being lower than the tank volume.

    Reasoning....
    1) Access to remove it easier
    2) increased water volume (minor benefit)
    3) Quieter... less splash with water falling down...

    I would try to keep as much water in the tank as possible.... But what do i know :confused:
