Hello, as u might know, i recently lost a pistol shrimp due to my...well...lets just say i lost a pistol shrimp to a wrasse...my question is is that because the shrimp was so small it was able to fit in the wrasses mouth. The store by my house is also selling a 2in (i think japanese) pistolshrimp for only $10!...my question is that 1 will the wrasse eat it? (wrasse is aboue 1.5-2.3in) and will the pistol match up with the yellow watchman goby..if he can what would be the best way to introduce? try and put the shrimp near the goby, also i was thinking of putting the wrasse in a breeder box untill the pistol shrimp made a home... any thoughts? the pistol has been at the lfs for like 2 months so...i dont need to wait to see if its healthy...and i dont think anyone is gona buy it lol...so...give me ur thoughts :)o ya

on other news, when i put my clowns into my 55 they r now paired up and in the anemone happily :) and i need to upload some pics of my clown gobies :) they rest on the corals so cutely looks like a hamuk (spelling lol)

First of all what kind of wrasse do you have? I don't think its going to matter much as a wrasse can easily tear a shrimp apart. The pistol shrimp really dosn't have a whole lot of defenses against a wrasse. I don't think you should risk the shrimp. As far as it forming a symbiotic relationship with your goby I'm not sure.

I'm having problems find any info on this wrasse so its hard to say if it is reef safe or not. I no this probably isn't posible but I would suggest removing the wrasse and getting a fairy wrasse. I think you will have problems keeping inverts in the tank.

What do I know though, I'm keeping a green spotted puffer in my reef :)

ok, well i put the shrimp in and the wrasse has no interest in this big boy :)...but as i thought the shrimp is on the complete opposite side of the tank as the goby lol...anything i can do? w00t or will the goby eventually find it?...the goby is very solitary right now...hes chillen in his cave almost all day...will he become more bold as he is in the tank longer?
