Pistol shrimp and Goby

    So i just picked up this nice little Pistol shrimp for my 14g biocube..I have had a Randalli goby in it for about 2 weeks now...And what does it take for them to become a pair? or how long? do i need to do something?

    Congradulations.

    In the your size of tank they will have no problem finding each other, just give it some time. What type of pistol did you get?

    Its red and has purple legs...I guess its the common type?

    No the candy strip looks like a candycane with clear legs.

    Trust me it will, my tank is in the living room and I can hear him snapping in the bedroom at night when I am sleeping. Very cool little inverts.

    Mine mostly at night. But if he comes against a particularly hard rock or coral to move he starts his snapping. Never at fish just other stuff. He lives with a huge bristle worm and my old goby.

    Here is a picture of them all hanging out together, and that was when the worm was only a foot long.
