I bought a yellow watchman goby (Gumby) about 3 months ago and he is doing great. but i noticed that he was always dragging hermit crabs into his burrow. i figured he would take to a pistol shrimp well so i got him one (Derenger). but now the pistol has dug an extensive network of burrows around the tank and the goby is hanging out in the side of the aquarium now. i'm assuming the pistol wants to stay single and doesnt want a relationship. has anyone had them have a symbiotic relationship? is there any chance these two crazy kids might still end up together?:-/

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
What type of pistol did you buy? YWG usually do very well with tiger pistols.

I had a Tiger Pistol for about 2 weeks before I got the YWG. They paired up in about a hour. They have excavated under 2 separate rocks, Main house and vacation home ! They also are getting along fine with a Diamond Goby and Red Scooter Blenny

I have an aurora goby and tiger pistol. They initally paired up within minutes of going into the tank. When I moved the tank, it took overnight for them to find each other again. My pair also has several extensive burrows. My friend has a pair that have not paired up and it is going on 6 months.
