This video turns up from time to time. I'm not really sure what to make of it, but cool video though.

awesome video. I have first hand experience with this, my pistol killed a cleaner and 2 peppermints. Pistol is now in the sump.

Eh I don't really like that video. It's annoying. Mainly because they replaced any pistol shrimp sound with actual firearm sounds, which I find to be extremely stupid. Pistol shrimp aren't called pistol shrimp for nothing...ours is quite loud now that he's older.

We have attempted to have 5 different pep shrimp. A group of 2 and then a group of 3 a few weeks later. We were never able to keep either group alive for longer than a week...they all go MIA and I can only speculate that our pistol is the culprit, because he is the only animal in that tank that could do that. :) We love him anyways. He leaves our cleaner shrimp quite alone, and him and his goby are the primary sand cleaning crew.

As Jwin said, we've had the pistol shrimp and cleaner shrimp together for probably 7 months or so now. They do fine together - maybe the cleaner shrimp just stays out of the way. Now the peppermint shrimp, they did mysteriously disappear! They did get rid of all the aiptasia, so I guess they did their job, but I sure didn't buy them to be a meal for the pistol shrimp!

I have 2 peppermints that I almost NEVER see... I know they are there but unless I wait by the tank with a flashlight after the lights are off I never see them.
That might be the case with yours also, especially if you guys have lots of LR for them to hide in... I bet you still have some of them. I thought my trigger killed mine but nope.. they're still there ;)

I havent seen my pistol for months. Its been in my sump....but I do hear him blasting all the time down there. Hes a old fashioned gangster. Kills for fun. He controls his chamber with an army of pods and bristleworms listening to every one of his commands. Very hardcore.

I have lost a couple of fish from my pistol, the bad part was it was a helfrichi firefish, and a McKosker wrasse.
