pistol shrimp break glass myth?

    dr roy said when they run into a solid object, they will strike it repeatedly till it breaks. this is what causes the breaks when they are digging. in the wild they dig till they hit a rock and then break the rock. he says glass breaking does happen and isn't as 'freaky' as people would believe. the mantis would have to be 4 or 5 inches long, i forget which. and the glass would have to be less than a certain thickness. a regular tank like the ones you find at petco would be thin enough to break.

    By regular tank do you mean a 10 gal? Which isn't size appropriate for a mantis that large. If you have a fully grown peacock in a 10 gal tank, you deserve to have a wet floor.
