Pistol shrimp destroyed porcelain crab!

I noticed the other day my porcelain crab wondering a little too close to my pistol's den and this morning the porcelain crab is missing its claw and its body is ripped open!

 

Well, that was a pictureless tease.

Sure it's not a molt?

 

Well it is a molt I found the porcelain, glad he's alive...

I am really glad you found it! I hate to say this but to be honest with you having the two of them in the same tank... well eventually its pretty much a given that the Porcelain is going to get zapped. Keeping any kind of crab even another Pistol in with a Pistol is just asking for trouble.

 

Yea I know its a risk but no problems yet.
