    It's a possibility.

    My self have never had an issue with pistol shrimp, but I have seen others report that pistols have wounded or killed fish.

    Barnacle Blennies can be pretty small are you sure they are not hiding out?

    When did you add the blennies and when did you add the shrimp? They could just be hiding. Also, I assume you checked your tank's parameters. If they are sick, they likely will follow the instinct of hiding where they are safe from predators so you wouldn't see signs of sickness before they disappeared like you would a tang, etc.
