Yesterday when I was looking through my tank with a flashlight after lights out, I saw my shrimp laying on the sandbed next to my cucumber. It wasn't moving, other than its antennae, but I feared it was trying to snack on the cuke. I know this would stress it out, but I made every attempt to get it out of there.. Tapped the glass; didn't go into hiding. Turned the lights on; nada. kept tapping; finally started retreating to its burrow, backwards.

Tonight I was looking in the tank again, and saw it laying in the same spot, except the cucumber wasn't there. That started worrying me even more, so again, I tried getting it to move... It took more to get it to move this time.

Is it common for pistol shrimp to just lay on the sand like that? The goby wasn't near it at all either time. Am I just worrying too much?
