I was thinking about putting a pistol shrimp in my 14 gal biocube, but have a few questions. Can i put it in a biocube or can their claw crack the glass, and also have people had good experience with them? Thanks guys!

Their claw cannot break the glass. The sound they make is from a cavitation bubble collapsing as opposed to a smashing motion. (BTW, most species of the other critters that make loud sounds, mantis shrimp, can't break the glass either).

I personally like pistol shrimp in nano's better than in larger display tanks because you'll see them more often. Make sure you get the appropriate goby for your species or you'll only hear them.....I'm assuming you want to see it too.

"There are a half dozen species capable of breaking a standard glass aquarium," says biologist Roy Caldwell a professor at the University of California at Berkeley. Including, of course, the peacock mantis, which gets about 7 inches (17 cm) long."
