Trying to decide the best place to set my 46 gallon Bowfront up. I was thinking the 48" wide tv cubby or next to the garage door under the alarm keypad.

[IMG]The cubby may suck for maintenance and would prob have to get a table to mount low. Thoughts?

I think the cubby probably would be hard to get it just right and able to do maintenance although I definitely see why you'd consider that spot.....you can see both in your line of vision :) Is there a good amount of space on that wall under the alarm pad? it's hard to tell from the angle.

Wow... Decisions decisions.... If you own the house and are handy I would say the cubby. You will need to get rid of the middle shelf and do a build in like this here.

Then you can close in the top for lights. Set up one of them old school wave buckets on a shelf. sump and all that other stuff underneath and plenty of room for a taller tank.

Updated pic of discussed room from kitchen.... Only downside is if hy keypad tank would have to be 6" or so from wall for hob filter unless I ran my 305 canister [IMG]

I probably wouldn't move it in front of the keypad isn't there a light switch there too?

yes, I think the keypad area would really break up the room awkwardly....I might try to figure out something to make the cubby work. Just my .02.
