Plans On Halloween Night?

probably nothing, i'm off of work this friday-sun so i could do something, but don't really have anything planned. Probably just stay home and watch scary movies. I want to see the movie Paranormal Activity, but i doubt it. One thing that i have always wanted to do though, is stay overnight at the Queen Mary in Long Beach. It's really haunted, and a coworker went to a wedding that was in the ball room section of the ship. And in the pictures that she took there were orbs literally everywhere, that would be a cool wedding, on a haunted ship

 

Unfortunately my bf and I have to work that night....and we don't get off until 7Am.

 

that sucks, i've had to work every halloween night for the past 3 years, i got lucky this weekend and it just happend to by my weekend off

 

I have to work every holiday.....
Last year they promised us we'd be out of there by 5pm last x-mas eve, and then they locked the doors on us and stood in front of each one so we couldn't leave. I didn't get home until 9:30pm and I was bawling because I was supposed to have dinner with my dad's side of the family and my father himself (whom I have never really known). I found out later that he never showed up anyway but still, they didnt have to hold us captive!

 

that is sooo messed up that they locked you guys inside. I have to work almost every holiday as well, because my work is closed and somebody has to take care of the animals that are boarding, it's split shift and holiday pay so isin't too bad.

What do you do to where you have to work crazy hours like that?

 

Wal*Mart....terrible place....
You get hired for one job and since they only keep about half of the workers that are actually needed, you are expected to do maybe two or three different jobs along with your original position and it all has to be done at once and finished on time. Don't get paid for working positions that require higher pay either. Thats how they get away with paying so little, they dont hire for the high paying jobs and just make the little guys do it for nothing.

 

dang, that really sucks

 

Everything but the M4, which I am getting buried with.

 

Well the place got back to us and no rooms available. Grrr...
