I need a bit of help guys and gals. I have had a mushroom leather for a few weeks now and it's been hanging out on the bed of my tank. I bought it mounted on a small square piece of ugly rock. Yesterday I freed it during an iodine dip and now I can't get it to stay where I want it. Ideally, I'd like it to plant on a small rock so that I can movie it around if I need to. Is there a safe glue-like compound that I can use to make it stay on the rock until the foot catches hold?

yeh you can use glue - most lfs will sell it but you can get it on ebay too.

Depending on how big it is, you could also use needle and thread or toothpick and rubber bands.

Super glue gel is what is usually use but they don't stay stuck to well.

My preferred way is to pPut it on the rock or frag plug I want it to attach to and wrap it in Bridal Veil which you can get at a craft store. I then tie the veil on the back with a rubber band.

Or you can put it in a little plastic tub with some CC substrate and after it attach's to some of the coral you can super glue it to what ever you want. Here is video example of what I mean, this guy is Fragging mushrooms and uses the plastic tub method.

Mushrooms tend to do better with one of these ways IMO. If you use a rubber band it tends to cut the mushroom in half if you get it even a little bit to tight. Which is okay because then you have two!
