O.K. what do you guys all do with the different stains of plants growing in your tanks? I have a form of culurpa with these little balls on it it grows very fast and has to be pruned almost weekly! Also there is another plant with small viney stalks that put down roots every half inch or so and when you try to pull them up they break and any little pieces left will start new little plants ARGHHHHH! I hate these little plants Do you really just have to prune prune prune forever or is there something to confine there growth?
Any answers will be enthusiastically appreciated!
    Thank you all
    D.

What would be a good tang to put in a 55 gal. tank and that would eat these plants back some?

You got what sounds like grape calp.
Sounds like a adding something to eat the algae is treating a symptom only.Do you have a fuge? For nutrient export.  Are you perhaps over feeding?
