This morning and for a month, since the time I bought it, my coral has been doing very well with fully extended tentacles. Got home today and they are shrunk all the way to the base. My lavender mushroom, toad stool mushroom, waving hand Xenia, Polyps and Starburst Polyps are all doing fine. The only one not fully extended is the Frogspawn along with the plate coral. My water is perfect with salinity at 1.024. I did add top off water but only about a gallon, just an hour ago. Any suggestions? Here's a pic

It looks like there's a cut on the flesh. Is it just me or does anybody else see the cut? From my experience with plates once they suffer a cut on their flesh they don't recover, well at least in my experience:-[

Oh, I see what you're referring to now. Nothing in the tank, including my hands, have done anything to it. Weird.

it could be that the coral is expelling water and will slowly replace it. keep an eye on the exposed skellton, as long as your params are in check and there are no other coral with sweepers it should recover.
