Plate coral looking strange....

    Ammonia isn't what I was getting at. Most corals require your calcium, alkalinity and magnesium to be within a certain range. If your alk drops to far corals start having issues, like recession. Those params will move especially if your not doing anything to keep them within range.

    LT plates typically don't fare well in most tanks. I should ahve asked that right off the bat :(

    yeah that's why i asked..i've been through three of them and not one has lasted over 3 weeks for no obvious reason

    Thanks guys for the help! Guess I'll write that one off on my taxes.;) Should I still keep the skeleton? Are there any dangers of doing so?

    it won't hurt anything...but if you do take it out get ready..they stink!

    Leave the skeleton in the tabk a while.. It could throw off babys..
