I don't know if I should panic yet....I picked up a plate coral about 3 weeks or a month ago. I loved his green color... his tentacles were out every day like clock work...ate well. He actually ate like every other day because I feed the sun Polyp every other day. His color is green and slight brown on the edges. I thought he was sick cause you could see his skeleton a bit but when i turn the moon lights on he glows a gorgeous neon green. Anyway for the past day and a half he's compeletely closed up... his mouth is shut his tentacles are in and he just seems un responsive. A dip in revive help? is this normal should i give him another day or two? Params are normal. I did increase the salinity in the past week and a half it dropped to 1022 after a water change now back up to 1025. I also moved him so the flow was more moderate then high. Advice please!!!!!!!

Last night I had a thread EXACTLY like yours. Bought it a few weeks ago, and I now see his skeleton a little, and it has a few brown spots on the small part of skeloten. IMHO I think mine is done. I have not seen any recovery. Fed it once a week, and my water quality is near perfection. Take a look at my thread. Maybe that could help. Good luck

Did you move the plate before or after it closed up?

    No do not dip it.

I imaging the low SG did stress it.

    Image please.

With a salt drop that much, he is probably just stressed a bit..But as long as the salinity is around 1.020-1.026 he should be fine..things will do better at 1.023-5 but 22 is not awfull..I would give him time to adjust, if he does not seem to be coming around in a couple days then test water and see if something is bothering him.

a week after i moved it he closed up. I hope he's just stressed out he does not look any different from the day i bought him just deflated and it looked like something sifted through teh gravel and it was sitting on him this morning thats when i moved him close to where I had him before and the powerhead has removed all the white dusting that was on him. Let me take a pic give me like 5 min

They do not like to have any sand on the top, if it did it may have caused stress. Is that you in the avatar?
