Plate coral!

Mine has been sitting on a rock for about 1 1/2 mos. Looks as good or better than the day I bought him. No sign of him moving. About a week ago he shrunk up for a couple of days,but came back out and looked just as good if not better.

 

i remember his green color being stronger he looks very brown during the day....he eats almost everyday lol...he's close to the sun coral and when some of the frozen shrimp float his way u see his tentacles curl up and take some shrimp to his mouth. I just hope the dosing i started 2 weeks ago helps his green come back. it was very strong now its very dull.

 

hey man sorrry to hear..heres my green and purple tip plate coral as i guess a reference for color and maybe how much yours should be extending for u to remember..mine is under a 6x39 ati fixture with ati bulbs and unless i feed the tank with liquid is inflated and open..

how much lighting do u have?? what bulbs?? like previously stated, the plates that i have had love alot of light..mine is on the sandbed somewhat underneath a toadstool with a medium-high flow.

 

Hey saint, I have marineland LED's. The body was a nice neon green the tentacles always looked brown to me. He seems a little bigger then the day I bought him and seems happy for the most part. I remember him actually looking nicer and brighter in my tank then he did in the LFS's tank.

 

are they the reef capable ones??

 

yeah they are. Thats why i got them.
